Synopsis:

THE CHAMP is a short film written and directed by Joshua Martin. The film opens in an old isolated barn where CHUCK THE CHAMP is awakened from death to discover that he has been reanimated by a MAD SCIENTIST. As THE CHAMP searches his surroundings for answers, he remembers his last boxing match which took place in the same barn many years ago.

The town joined together to watch their CHAMP fight one of the most feared boxers of their time, BILL THE BRUTE. Everyone, including the champ's SWEETHEART, expected their hero to easily knock out the giant contender. Unknown to THE CHAMP, the fight had been secretly fixed by THE BRUTE and his trainers. In one night THE CHAMP lost his title, his SWEETHEART, and ultimately his life.

After CHUCK finally remembers that fateful night, he discovers that THE MAD SCIENTIST has arranged one last fight against a reanimated BILL THE BRUTE. With no distractions from THE BRUTE'S cornermen, THE CHAMP is given one final opportunity to regain his title and discover the true reason for his return.
